The Riverside Local School District is committed to fiscal responsibility and transparency in all financial transactions. The Treasurer serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the district and reports directly to the Board of Education. The Treasurer and his staff work in conjunction with the Superintendent to support the educational mission and programming of the district.
The Treasurer's Office oversees the financial operations of the District and is responsible for all accounting, payroll and Auditor of State compliance. The District is audited annually by the Auditor of State and the audit reports are available on the Auditor of State website. The Treasurer is responsible for preparing the District's annual tax budget and the Five-Year Financial Forecast.
In addition, the Treasurer serves as Secretary to the Board of Education. In this role, the Treasurer's office holds all contracts, documents, and the official minutes of all Board of Education meetings.
