Administrator for Grades K-6
: Julie Weber - email@example.com
The instructional day for Grades K-6 will be approximately 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., but that does not mean your child will be online that entire time. The individual classroom teacher will set the schedule during that time frame, and there will be 30 minutes for lunch & a 30 minute break time set in. How those five hours are structured will be up to the individual teacher. Each teacher will share a daily schedule with their class, prior to the start of the school year.
Some helpful tips:
1. Communicate with your teachers - if you need help with something, ask. Teachers will be understanding, but you will need to let them know if you are having an issue with assignments, attendance, technology, etc. Many questions or concerns can be handled through email communication but you may need to schedule time to meet with your teacher virtually.
2. Having tech issues? - reach out to our RLSD tech department at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Stay connected - daily attendance is extremely important. Your teachers expect that you attend class on a daily basis. Please be on time to class each day, ready to learn. If you have an extenuating circumstance where you will need to miss class, please communicate this as soon as possible with your teacher.
4. Attendance - If your child is not going to be logging onto their class, please email email@example.com by the beginning of the school day. Please include your child's name in the subject line. In the body of the message, please include your child's name, teacher and grade, date of absence and reason for absence. You should also copy your child's teacher on the email so they are aware. Attendance is taken in the morning and after lunch and marked every day in Infinite Campus.
