Welcome to 3rd grade. It is going to be a great year!!
Welcome to our online classroom! My name is Anna Marie Fisher and I teach 3rd grade. I have been teaching at Leroy Elementary for 20 years. I grew up in Painesville Township and graduated from Riverside High School. I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Education and from Lake Erie College with a Master's Degree in Education. Currently I hold a teaching license in Ohio.
I am honored to be teaching your child. This site is intended to help us communicate, but I will need for you to check your child's assignment book or this web page each day. Our plans change as the needs of the children change. Check the backpack daily for homework, graded papers, and notes from school.
You are always welcome to contact me through email at email@example.com or this website. You can also call me by contacting the school office.
You can call at any time and I will return you call at the earliest time possible.
Nut Free Classroom!
We have no nut alergies this year but as a precaution I would love to make my classroom a nut free zone. Please make sure that all items in the classroom are nut free. Please be courteous when sending in birthday treats. Thanks for your cooperation!
We Need Your Help!
I cannot say enough good about a parent/teacher organization, the LSA. The LSA does so much for your children every year. They help pay for newspapers or booklet that we get to use in class. They help pay for field trips each year and pay for many other things that our children use. But, now they need your help! They are looking for people that would step up and help out with some of the fundraisers that take place at the school for your children. You don't have to chair an event or even run for the board but just help out where you can. They need help behind the scenes also. Many things that the kids love include such things as the school carnival, mother/daughter or father/son events, pizza bingo night, Santa Shop, Coco with HoHo, and many other events. LSA meets once a month in the evening. Child care is provided to help with those issues. Please consider volunteering your time to help the LSA and your children.
