Freshmen/Sophomores: Prepare for the College Process is for high school freshmen, sophomores, and their parents. Underclassmen, it’s great to be proactive about the college search! Learn what high school freshmen and sophomores do to prepare for college. Get tips on how to make the most of your high school experiences and begin the process of finding a good fit for your future.
Please register for your VIRTUAL session online at leaf-ohio.org/resource-center-sessions/, or call 440.525.7095 to reserve a seat. Reservations are required, capacity is limited. The sessions are free. Parents are encouraged to watch with their student.

Making Sense of College Financial Aid Offer Letters will be offered on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, 6:30 p.m.: I got in, but how much will it cost me? Which college is a better deal? What loans should I take? The admissions process may be over, but the decision may or may not be final due to finances. How do you compare college costs once you've been admitted? An expert will walk you through the terminology so that you can see your bottom line of a 4-year college cost.
Making Sense of College Loan Options will be offered on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, 6:30 p.m.: Subsidized vs. unsubsidized loans? Parent PLUS vs. private loan? I got in, I'm excited, but now how do I pay? Once you receive your college financial aid offer letter, you know the bottom line cost. Often, there is a gap between the aid and the bill - loans can be used to fill that gap. Learn more about available loan options and their impact on your future.
