Vaccine required for incoming 7th & 12th graders


Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, the Ohio Department of Health is requiring two (2) doses of the Meningococcal (MCV4) Vaccine to be administered before a student enters 12th grade and one dose of the vaccine before a student enters 7th grade.

Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, the Ohio Department of Health is requiring two (2) doses of the Meningococcal (MCV4) Vaccine to be administered before a student enters 12th grade. If the first dose was administered on or after the 16th birthday, a second dose is not required. The incoming 12th graders will need to show proof of having received the Meningococcal (MCV4) Vaccine (s) when they  return to school in August.

In addition, one dose of the Meningococcal (MCV4) Vaccine needs to be administered to the incoming 7th graders as they enter school.
