We are pleased to announce Dr. Christopher Basich has been named LaMuth Middle School Principal.
Dr. Basich is a 1999 Riverside High School Graduate who has been with the District his entire educational career. He began his career as a social studies teacher at LaMuth Middle School in 2006. He then transitioned to Riverside Campus a year later to teach Advanced Placement Psychology and American History until being named Assistant Principal at Riverside Campus in 2020. He has also served as the District’s College and Career Coordinator and facilitates the District’s Business Advisory Council.
“I am incredibly honored to be selected as the Principal of LaMuth Middle School,” said Dr. Basich. “I am looking forward to working collaboratively with parents, staff, and community members to create an exceptional educational environment for our students. Together, we will aim to inspire and empower our students to achieve their highest potential.
Dr. Basich received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Mount Union, his Master’s Degree in Education from Marietta College, his Principal’s License from Notre Dame College and his Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Youngstown State University, where he is also currently a part-time faculty member.
The Riverside Local School District Board of Education officially voted to approve Dr. Basich as LaMuth Middle School Principal at a Special Meeting on June 8.
