The District is offering two learning options for students this year.
Option 1 is a traditional return to school while following health and safety protocols set forth by the Lake County General Health District and the State of Ohio.
Option 2 is a full-time remote learning program for families who are not comfortable sending their child(ren) back to school. The remote learning program will be different than what we offered in the spring, as expectations will be aligned to what is happening in the classroom for students attending school in the buildings. The deadline to sign up for the full-time remote learning program was Friday, August 7. Given the fact that staffing and schedules are now finalized for both remote learning, and in-school learning, we can no longer make accommodations for students and families who wish to change their preference.
***It is extremely important to note that this document is fluid and may need to be adjusted and/or changed completely based on new information or requirements set by state or local officials. Please understand that depending upon the level of increased severity of COVID-19, we may be required to transition from our traditional setting to a remote learning program as directed by the State of Ohio or deemed necessary by the District. Based on guidance from the Lake County General Health District and the Ohio Department of Health, Riverside will follow the Ohio Public Health Color-Coded Advisory System. If Lake County should reach a RED or PURPLE level, Riverside may move to a remote learning model for all students.***
