We have been working on many concepts in first grade the last couple weeks. The students did a great job with pictographs and tally charts and we have just introduced the chapter on Addition and Subtraction. Homework will correlate with classwork; please encourage your child to look for key words to determine whether to add or subtract (i.e. join/more to add, take away/leave to subtract)

Please also have your child double check to make sure numbers are being written in the correct direction!
