My Homepage

I starting teaching at Riverside in 1998. Prior to teaching I worked as a research chemist for almost fifteen years. I've earned a BS in Comprehensive Science and a BS in Secondary Education from Cleveland State University and a Master's in the Art of Teaching (MAT) from Marygrove College. I enjoy many sports related activities and love spending time with my wife, seven children and two grandchildren. Needless to say, I enjoy working with children which is one of the reasons that I changed careers and entered into teaching.
My mission as a teacher is to empower students with the skills needed to meet the challenges of life in a dynamic and highly competitive world. In a cooperative effort with parents and our community, I intend to enthusiastically motivate students to reach their full potential, raise their self-esteem, build respectful relationships and help them focus on achieving their goals. I don't simply teach, I challenge my students to do their best. I encourage them to form good study habits and try to get them to believe in themselves. I ask my students to keep trying; encouraging them to stick with it and remind them that I am available for extra help if it is needed. I can be contacted via email at ken.skorepa@riversideschools.net.
