Riverside High School
John R. Williams Junior High
My name is Aaron Draime and I serve as director of bands for John R. Williams Junior High School and associate director of bands for Riverside High School. As an integral part of a well-coordinated team of directors, my responsibilities include directing two separate 8th grade bands of approximately 60 students in each, two separate 9th grade bands of approximately 60 students in each, a junior high jazz band, and assisting with the high school symphonic winds, symphonic ensemble and wind ensemble. In addition to my role as assistant director with the 200+ member Riverside Regiment Marching Band, I am also co-music arranger for the marching band! I hail from Toledo, Ohio and earned my bachelor of music from Bowling Green State University. Taking a look at my service to music education in Ohio and beyond, I have hosted marching band and solo/ensemble events for ten of the past fourteen years and I am a state level adjudicator within the Ohio Music Education Association’s (OMEA) marching band circuit. I am the Past President for OMEA’s seventh district (2009-2011), which encompasses a large portion of the greater Cleveland area, including Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake Counties. I have a very extensive background in the marching band idiom. I am an alumnus and past brass instructor with the Toledo Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps (1997-2002) and I also instructed with the Canton Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps (2010). I currently reside in Lyndhurst, Ohio.
